An elegant collection of portraits of cardinals printed on strong paper and with wide margins. Following a chronological order, the first cardinal depicted is Pietro Ottoboni (1689), while the last is Henry Stuart (1747).Folio, (360 x 215mm). Engraved title-page, 64 full-page portraits of cardinals (light dampstain to upper right corner from second half of volume, some light wear). Half leather binding with contemporary carta rustica sides (some wear). No collation could be found for the following lot, therefore the lot is sold as a collection of plates and is not subject to return. (1)
