Incomplete copy of this edition, richly illustrated with wood engravings originally prepared for the 1493 edition and reused already in 1502, depicting anachronisms such as siege bombardments and naval assaults using Greek fire. Folio, (298 x 209mm). Full-page woodcut border with central illustration at the beginning of the three decades and numerous other woodcut illustrations and initials in the text (The first gathering of 4 leaves with the title page and index is missing, the last blank is missing, leaves a1 and a2 are remargined, two small wormholes in the text affecting the first decade and touching the letters, some foxing and sporadic marginal staining). 18th-century binding with gilt title and decoration on spine, red edges (some wear and chipping).
