A RARE AND LARGE PIERCED YELLOW GROUND LOTUS FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN STEM DISH, CHINA, QING DYNASTY, MARK AND OF THE PERIOD QIANLONG (1736-1796)
With shallow rounded sides and a round hollow holes everted rim, all painted on an imperial yellow ground, the centre of the dish is decorated with a pink, red, blue and pale turquoise faceted 'jewel' surrounded by four lotus flowers and four bats amidst a continuous multi coloured lotus sprouts and passion fruit scroll all below a band of pendent pale blue leaf tips at the top of the well, and a lotus border at the base of the everted rim, which is pierced with round holes and they are tied with gold lines, which are threaded into the buttons. Around the exterior repeating the same motif alternating four faceted jewels and four lotus and the base is covered in a rich turquoise glaze surrounding the iron-red six-character reign mark. In very good condition, very minor wears on the surface, very few tiny lacks of enamels under the rim.
