A BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN LOTUS JARDINIERE, CHINA, KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The cylindrical sides rising from a flat base to a pronounced flared mouth edge, the main body painted in deep blue enamel with a continuous decoration of lotus blossoms on a slender scrolling stem born from a stylized band of lotus petals, the interior left white. In good conditions, minor firing imperfection and minor wear on the surface.
