The R90S was undoubtedly an epoch-making turning point for BMW. Conceived as an all-rounder bike, it combined safety, speed and comfort with an attractive style and impact on the public. The famous designer Hans A. Muth, later author of the legendary Suzuki Katana, created the iconic livery shaded in Daytona orange and Imola silver that characterised this bike in the years to come. Under the guidance of chief designer der Marwitz, BMW engineers created a 70 horsepower strong bike equipped with double front discs, adjustable steering damper and the first cockpit ever seen on a motorcycle. It was a bike with great qualities of speed and agility that was appreciated by the press but whose price was really dizzying: just think that the contemporary Alfa Romeo Alfetta cost even less!
This beautiful R90S is a second series from 1976 and is offered in the classic Imola silver paint. FIM certified and with an overhauled engine with just 5000 km, it is certainly one of the most interesting bikes on the market at the moment.
