Una di sole 536 Biturbo S II prodotte. Vettura conservata e originale in ogni sua parte. Recentemente sottoposta ad interventi di manutenzione meccanica.
One of only 536 Biturbo S II produced. Car preserved and original in every part. Recent mechanical refurbishment.
The Biturbo saw the light in 1981 as a project for a discreet and accessible Maserati. The two-litre V6 engine, produced in the Maserati factory in Modena, was a small jewel of technology, with new solutions such as three valves per cylinder and supercharging by two turbines, for the first time in the world on a road car, and had a power of 180 horsepower, considerable for a 2000 cc of the time. In 1983, to satisfy the most sporty customers, the Biturbo S was presented: two voluminous intercoolers, served by Naca air intakes on the bonnet, brought the power to 205 hp. In the summer of 1985, the Biturbo S II was introduced, with power increased to 210 hp, water-cooled turbines, the new Gleason-Torsen Sensitork self-locking differential and seats upholstered in Terra di Siena leather instead of the classic Missoni fabric of the Biturbo S.
The proposed model, painted in the classic original Rosso Maserati colour, was produced in the spring of 1986 and delivered by the Maserati dealer in Turin to the first owner living in Valle d'Aosta. In 33 years it has only had three owners and is in perfect condition. The car is fitted with all its original components that have never been replaced; the interior is the original preserved one; the car has never been disassembled and only the paint has been partially restored in some parts. Always kept in the garage, this Biturbo has good metal sheets and is fully functional in everything. Recently, during the summer of 2019, some mechanical maintenance work was carried out on the car, such as the replacement of the timing belt and the overhaul of the fuel system, with the replacement of the petrol pump, the pipes and the cleaning of the carburettor. This Biturbo still has the original Aosta plates as well as all the documents and booklets of origin supplied and is equipped with an ASI Historical Certificate and has recently undergone periodic revision.
