In October 2016, Ferrari decided to present to the world the GTC4 Lusso, an important evolution of the concept of Shooting Brake both from a technical and above all stylistic point of view already expressed with the Ferrari FF. Manifesto of an important evolution wanted by the Maranello company through the use of increasingly modern lines, while maintaining a clear homage to the glorious models of the past with the initials GTC and Lusso.
The rear bodywork was characterised by 4 circular lights with double crown of LEDs, and the front one with a single air intake grille, with three horizontal chrome-plated strips, created to cool the engine, but which in fact gave it a very aggressive look. A 3-door equipped with a 6.3 litre V12 engine (F140 ED) capable of delivering 690 hp at 8,000 rpm, coupled with a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox, which pushes the car up to a top speed of 335km/h, accompanied by a unique and inimitable sound. To improve its driving pleasure, the car has been equipped (for the first time on a Ferrari) with the 4-wheel drive and steering system, called 4WD-S and SCM-E suspensions, which guarantee optimal performance on any type of route.
The unique and exclusive Ferrari GTC4 Lusso was commissioned and customised by Lapo Elkann, a one-off called 'Azzurra'. The entire layout of both cars was designed by Garage Italia, which played on the contrasts created by the two different shades of blue. A perfect meeting between the automotive world and the world of fashion, design and art. The bodywork, in Blue Navy Garage Italia, is characterised by the contrasting painting of the front in the exclusive colour Azzurro Lapo. The same colour is applied to the stripe that runs the entire length of the car, clearly inspired by racing, the side vents, the alloy wheel spokes and the Brembo brake callipers, all customised with Garage Italia logo.
The cockpit is the heart of the customisation. Made with fine leathers and fabrics, the two contrasting shades of blue are inspired by the sky meeting the sea. The seats are inspired by those of the legendary Daytona and are embellished with leather made and woven by hand by the Foglizzo company. The blue leather covers the dashboard, the central tunnel, the door sides and the steering wheel. The other details have been made with precious fabrics, such as Solaro, which reproduce the two shades of leather. This car is an important manifesto of elegance and character. Its creator has been able to enhance many elements of Italian style and excellence, thus creating a perfect trait d'union between the various souls that constitute the beauty and exclusivity of Made in Italy in the world.
