A RARE LARGE BEAUTIFUL LANGYAO BOTTLE VASE, CHINA, KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The globular body rising from a short foot to a tall cylindrical neck. The vase is covered overall with a beautiful lustrous glaze of rich crushed strawberry-red colour, suffused with wide crackle thinning to a pale celadon glaze on the mouth rim, which continues onto the interior. The base is covered with a suffused light-greenish-brown glaze. In very good conditions, the foot base with irregular surface caused by the firing process, other very minor firing imperfections and very light surface wears and scratches.
