A PAIR OF RARE CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN ROULEAU VASES, CHINA, KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722) (2)
Of rouleau form with cylindrical body, sloping shoulder and cylindrical neck encircled by a rib and opening into a cupped mouth. The sides are finely decorated with a continuous scene of mythical beasts perched on rocks below a hawk in flight and surrounded by tumultuous sea waves all below two key-fret band on the neck. In very good conditions, only very minute defects, a firing white glazed flake at the side of the foot base of 0,8 mm ca. of one vase, , some minor surface wears and light scratches and dirty to be clean.
