Patek Philippe Nautilus has become one of the most iconic watches of the century. Going back in history, first released in 1976, the ref. 3700 was the creation of a genius in the field, Gerald Genta, who also designed the greatest rival of all, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak four years earlier. It was while dining just a few feet from Patek Philippe executives he was inspired by a ship's porthole constructed via a solid one-piece case with an octagonal bezel. At the heart of the watch is housed the caliber 28-255C, slender and refined in its profile of just 3.15 mm, it is considered one of the most legendary movements ever produced. The example we offer is in totally original condition and is a truly iconic vintage piece that has been timeless and in great demand for over 45 years.
