TWO WOOD LAQUERED FOUR-CASE INROS AND A SMALL BLACK LAQUERED KOBAKO (SMALL BOX), JAPAN, EDO PERIOD (1603-1868), 19TH CENTURY (3)
The first of rounded rectangular profile with applied cord-runners decorated in gold and silver, hiramaki-e against gold hirame on a black lacquer ground, depicting three horses under pine trees, interior gold nashiji, unsigned; the second of rounded rectangular profile with applied cord-runners decorated in gold and shell depicting flowers, butterfly and dragonfly, unsigned; a rounded rectangular Kobako, small box, decorated in gold and silver hiramaki-e, depicting a countryman floating on a raft on a river by a mountain and trees landscape, interior gold nashiji, unsigned, the cover of rounded rectangular shape. Overall in good conditions the inros with few wears on the surface the one with flower, the box with splits on the corners of the cover.
