A FRENCH TORTOISESHELL AND CUT-BRASS-INLAID MANTEL CLOCK SIGNED THURET 1686-1706
Orologio d'appoggio in tartaruga en partie in bronzo dorato, caratterizzato da ricche applicazioni di gusto manierista. Sotto il quadrante, una mostra in bronzo dorato raffigurante un trionfo di Helios con piccolo cartiglio in metallo smaltato riportante 'Thuret a Paris'. Quadrante in bronzo dorato decorato con medaglione superiore raffigurante Luigi XIV di Francia, cartouche in smalto bianco con numeri romani, lancette in acciaio brunite tipiche Luigi XIV, movimento 15 giorni di carica con suoneria ore e mezze su campana con sistema a ruota spartiore. Movimento firmato Claude Raillard a Paris, (1662-1708) grande collaboratore e fornitore di meccanismi a Thuret. E' presente una mensola di epoca leggermente successiva, non coeva dell'orologio, in tartaruga en partie e bronzo dorato. Restauri, parti da fissare, movimento con adeguamento dello scappamento ad ancora, da revisionare, ossidazioni nei bronzi e nelle dorature, mancanze e possibili sostituzioni. L'orologio: alt. 83 cm, larg. 36 cm, prof. 16 cm con mensola, altezza totale 120 cm.
