THREE YELLOW GROUND BUTTERFLY SPOONS, CHINA, QING DYNASTY, FOUR CHARACTER MARK AND PERIOD OF TONGZHI (1862-1874), TOGETHER WITH AN ICE BUCKET AND A PAIR OF COVERS, 19TH CENTURY (6)
Each spoon painted with a yellow ground glaze and decorated with flying butterflies amidst two gilded Shou character, the back side in white glaze with a short wall adorn with three flowers scrolls, the base with the four character marks in iron-red. The cylindrical ice-cooler with two iron handles, painted in one side with a landscape and the other side with a black inscription. The pair of covers with a turquoise ground and decorated with a scrolling of alternate flying bats and lotus flowers. In very good conditions, all the pieces in very good conditions, with very minor firing imperfections, very light surface wear and scratches.
