TWO SMALL BRONZE VASES, CHINA, MING DYNASTY (1368-1644) (2)
The square body rising from a slightly splayed foot to a waisted neck and flared mouth-rim, two sides of the vase flanked by a pair of small loop handles, the four sides similarly cast in low relief with two registers, the design developing from the middle of the body, the lower register with three cicada leaves and the upright panel with archaistic motif. The little vase of a pear-shaped inverse form, rising from a slender base to a waisted neck to a flared mouth-rim, the shoulder flanked by a pair of mystical beast handles. Both in very good conditions, with very light surface wear and scratches.
