First edition of this work on public administration written by the chevalier d'Eon, known for being one of the first public men to choose to live as a woman. In fact, from 1777, d'¿on chose to be recognised as a woman, a decision made official by King Louis XVI. After returning to England in old age, d'¿on successfully petitioned the English courts to be legally recognised as a woman, one of the first cases of legal recognition of a gender transition.13 vols, 8vo, (195 x 125mm).
