In 1962, the Scrambler 250 was introduced. A true forerunner of today's "all terrain" motorcycles, it was equipped with the classic single-cylinder engine designed by Engineer Taglioni. In 1967, the 350 was introduced and in 1969 the 450 was conceived. It was provided with a "wide crankcase" engine, which immediately made it the most sought-after and requested version. The attractive line and bright colours made the Scrambler one of the most iconic motorcycles of that period, embodying the spirit of freedom and change of the 70s.
This 1973 Scrambler 450 was sold, brand new, by the Ducati dealer Carlo Cenna in Milan to its first owner. Over the years, this bike has been part of an important collection and has never undergone any kind of restoration. Yet, it maintains an excellent level of preservation of the bodywork and its components. Over the years, the bike has been modified only with the addition of the turn signals, as often happened after 1982, to make it comply with the Highway Code. This Scrambler remained on the same property until it was sold to its current owner in 2019.
Still equipped with its first Alessandria license plate and only in need of a mechanical overhaul due to its years of downtime, this Ducati is ready to revive the spirit of the 70s to the present day.
