The world's first car to be equipped with a V6 engine. Equipped with its original documents and factory books. Original equipment engine. One of the most elegant and refined Italian sedans of the post-war period.
The Lancia Aurelia was one of the most significant cars in Italian production after the war. The first car ever to use a 6-cylinder, 60-degree V 1,754cc light alloy engine developed by the engineer De Virgilio, is one of the first completely new cars to appear on the market. The load-bearing body construction allows for greater habitability thanks to the absence of the side pillars: in fact, the doors open completely, facilitating access on board. The rich interior finish in the famous Lancia cloth and the unmistakable elegance of its soft lines have made the B10 the progenitor of a memorable generation of cars.
Fitted with its original Torino, its birthplace and current residence, this rare second series example is an excellent opportunity to purchase one of the first cars made. Chassis 4192 has been restored in recent years and is fresh from a remake of the engine that has seen the rectification of the heads and the replacement of various mechanical parts. Purchased by the current owner several years ago, it has always received careful maintenance and has been used scrupulously for gatherings and leisure trips.
