Initially presented in the B10 saloon variant, the Aurelia range was then updated in 1951 with the B20, an elegant 2+2 short wheelbase coupé with bodywork by Pininfarina. Initially equipped with the 1,991cc variant of its V6 engine, it was then updated in 1953 with a 2,5 litre, 118 hp engine with the presentation of the 3rd series. The B20 was then updated in 1955 with the introduction of the 5th series, which made left-hand drive available. The success of the B20 continued until 1958, when it went out of production.
The B20 were formidable cars on the racing fields and gained their well-deserved fame especially thanks to the successes of Giovanni Bracco at the Mille Miglia in 1951 and Targa Florio in 1952. Fast and loved by private and professional drivers, the B20 was one of the most dreamed cars of the 50s.
This beautiful B20 is most probably one of the first cars produced in the 5th series and it has preserved its original condition. Purchased by the current owner about 30 years ago, it has been used over the years for prestigious and renowned events including the participation in the Mille Miglia in 2008. Restored in the 90s according to its original configuration, it represents an excellent opportunity to acquire one of the most desired Italian Granturismo of all time and one of the most competitive Mille Miglia cars.
