Off-text engraved portrait of St. John, vignette with dedicatee's arms on title page, initials and woodcut vignettes (light browning). Contemporary binding in full red morocco with the arms of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God on the recto board, and on the verso the coat of arms of a Count, all within a rich gilt decorated border, gilt title and decoration on spine, gilt edges, marbled endpapers. Provenance: Florence minor seminary stamp on the title page and at the end (the book collection was largely alienated after the institute closed in the 1970s and is confirmed by the library of the central seminary in Florence).
