di Benedetta Romanini e Teresa Scarlata
The next auction dedicated to Watches and Jewels of 27 November will present three extremely creative items whose charm is still intact. They belong to the haute horlogerie et joaillerie, which has always based the strength of a brand on the exclusivity of the items.
The first item is a rare gold pocket watch with pearls, by Baute & Moynier, Geneva, 1825, with round case n.435446 entirely decorated with oriental pearls, golden face with Roman numbers decorated with small beads, Breguet hands, cylinder escapement, movement n. 35446 with winding key.
The second item is a pair of essential pendant earrings with diamonds, Twentieth century. They become a ring thanks to the special frame.
The third is a golden ring with a pink sapphire, 8.29 carats, with baguette-cut and brilliant-cut diamond by Nulgari.
These intensely beautiful and unique items seem to echo the words by Oscar Wilde: “I’m a man of simple tastes. I’m always satisfied with the best”.
