Two carved wood consoles, sculpted and gilt, from the Nineteenth century with veneered, jasper top, enriched by the carving as well as by the use of masks and subjects. A set of wall-tables in the Louis XVI style, inspired to Piranesi’s style, sculpted and gilt – an example of the best Neoclassic production of the Roman scene between about 1770-1780 – which went both under the hammer for 105,400 euro. An original chest from the Eighteenth century, in carved and gilt wood, with a Spain brocatelle top painted with some episodes of Ovid’s Metamorphoses, sold for 59,520 euro. A set of Sicilian veneered chests in purple ebony from the Eighteenth century with a green marble top, sold for 43,400 euro. Finally, a rich Roman console from the Twelfth-Thirteenth century, carved, sculpted and gilt, in peach blossom wood and two Genoese sculpture groups in carved, gilt and laquered wood, with torch-holder cherubs on a rocky base, both sold for 34,720 euro.
