2015 was truly sparkling for the Department of Jewellery with an increase in turnover of 13.7% with at 37,200 euro, two rings being put under the hammer. The first was in white gold with an emerald-cut diamond (with an estimate of 4.30 carats in weight) and the second was in white gold, diamond and natural Burma spinel with a cushion cut and an estimated weight of 10.20. Lastly, a loose diamond, brilliant cut, 6.48 carats, Colour N, VS1 pure, also went under the hammer last year. In joint position, at 34,720 euro, an adjustable gold, platinum and diamond bracelet (with shaped rectangular parts) from around 1920 decorated with old-style and baguette cut diamonds with an estimated weight of 30.00 carats with a French platinum stamp and an oval bag in three-coloured gold and diamonds by Bulgari from around 1960. In the only sale dedicated to clocks, there was, selling at 32,240 euro – with an ecclesiastical provenance – a superb example of a table clock in turtle-shell, silver, rock crystal and semi-precious stones made around 1850 in the shape of the façade of a colonial cathedral.
