Among its top lots, the Carpets and Ancient Fabrics catalogue of 7 June included a silk Kashan carpet, made in central Persia probably in 1890, sold for 16,250 euro. Perfectly conserved, the carpet was particularly appreciated for its flower design without the central medallion, its refined knotting and its beautiful colour scheme. A pictorial carpet, Kerman Laver, Persia, 1920, depicting Dionysus wearing a cheetah mantle while playing some music for a young lady – sold for 8,750 euro. Finally, a Bijar carpet from Kurdistan, around 1880, depicting a rare scene with palm trees, clouds and archaic figures reminding of dragons, which reached 7,500 euro.
