The department of Jewels and Watches obtained remarkable results in the first semester of 2018. During the sale of 29 May, the department totalled 1,174,342 euro with a percentage of lots sold of 66.8& and of lots in terms of value of 99.4%. The top lot was a pair of gold and silver clip earrings with diamonds, each with an old-cut diamond weighing around 8.00 carats, sold for 81,500 euro. Monte Carlo hosted the first auction of the department in the Principality of Monaco, totalling 978,546 euro, with a percentage of lots sold of 69.1% and of lots in terms of value of 130.8%. A pair of gold earrings with diamonds (3.66 and 3.48 carats) stood out. They were sold for 89,280 euro. A golden ring with a 9.47-carat diamond, sold for 68,200 euro and a platinum ring with a yellow sapphire, weighing 17.15 carats, which reached 43,400 euro. As for watches, it is worth mentioning a Rolex Daytona chronograph, 1966, (ref. 6239) sold for 49,400 euro and a Rolex Datocompax, late 1940s (ref. 4767) sold for 39,680 euro.
