A fine cast and gilt bronze sculpture of Amitayus on a rectangular stool with decorated scrollwork legs, seated in vajrasana, the hands in dhyanamudra, with the hair piled in high knot and adorned with a five-leaf high diadem (as Bodhisattvas wearing a crown 'five leaves' indicate that he is an entity not subject to natural laws), earrings, a necklace, with bracelets on the arms and wrists, the long robes draped in folds and falling pendent over the edge of the stool. The front stretcher of the stool incised with a nine-character mark Da Qing Qianlong geng ying nian jing zao, 'Respectfully made in the geng yin year of the Qianlong period of the Great Qing Dynasty; wear in the gilding, the mandorlas missing and few missing tips on the crowns, one base a bit smashed. The censer with damages in the body.
