GRANDE E RARO DIPINTO DAOISTA SU SETA DI DUE IMMORTALI, CINA, DINASTIA MING (1368-1644)
The large painting is on silk sticked on paper and applied on canvas- it is finely rendered with colour in high detail and is brilliantly colourfully depicted. Both deities wearing elaborately decorated silk robes and both wears ornate robes embellished with dragons, they are seated on a canopied openwork throne amongst swirling clouds and carry a hu tablet in the hands. Each has an elaborate headdress hung with tasselled jewels. The surface with some wears and losses, cuts, folds and stains, as visible from the images.
