2015 was a record year for the Department of Silver, Ivory, Russian Icons and Objets d’Art with an 88.6% higher turnover compared to the previous year and a percentage of lots sold of 77.9% and 123% in terms of value. The top price for this Department was a circular silver-gilt watch with enamels, small pearls and ivory made in Saint Petersburg in 1890 by Carl Fabergé and sold for 74,400 euro. As far as icons were concerned, the best result achieved was a work from 1899-1908 featuring the Virgin Mary with a riza (or revetment) in silver gilt, filigree and cloisonné enamels by the Muscovite, Victor Shokarev. It went under the hammer for 24,400 euro.
