2015 was an excellent year for the Department of Decorative Arts and Design with an increase in turnover of 33.8% and a percentage of lots sold of 71.4% and 170.1% in terms of value. Max Ingrand, the supremely famous artistic director of Fontana Arte from 1954 to 1964, was the great protagonist of the two auctions last year with a pair of fascinating objects such as the floor lamp from the 1950’s, in brass and polished crystal, selling for 39,680 euro and a sitting-room table model 1774 from the 1960’s, with fluid forms and a gilt top, selling for 37,200 euro.
