A very good copy of this elegant edition of the epic poem The Tale of Igor's Campaign, sumptuously bound and illustrated with drawings inspired by the Palaeo-Khiyan artist Ivan Golikov (1887-1937). Composed in Old East Slavonic at the end of the 12th century, the poem narrates Prince Igor Svyatoslavich's failed 1185 raid against the Polovtsians.
