Beautiful collection published by Charles Meunier, bringing together poems and ballads by 26 poets from the 14th to the 17th century, including Jehan de Meung, Christine de Pisan, Charles d'Orleans, Villon, Ronsard, Louise Labe, Alain Chartier, etc. The copy is embellished, in addition to Robida's etchings and culs-de-lampe, the latter engraved in woodcut by Pierre Gusman, by an original ink drawing by the author
Folio, (310 x 245mm). Copy 78 from a print run of 115 copies, one of 100 on velin de cuvè containing two additional states on China paper of the 50 etchings (a pure etching and a bistre version) and a suite on China paper of the culs-de-lampe. Copy enriched with an original ink drawing by the author. Contemporary leather binding with gilt title and vignette to spine, original wrappers preserved, within slipcase. (1)
