Fine copy in finely decorated morocco binding made by the Chambolle-Duru firm, of the works of Horace printed entirely in engraved plates, illustrations and text, by John Pine; the rich iconographic apparatus consists not only of the plates and frontispieces but also of over 300 engraved plates of clear archaeological inspiration. This is the second edition, as can be seen from the inscription on p. 108 of vol. II: the medallion bears the correct 'potest' instead of 'postest'.

Engraved figured frontispieces, fully illustrated with headpieces, initials, cul de lamps, and plates in the text finely engraved depicting coins, statues, medals, objects, also the text fully engraved.
