Italian edition adorned with Symeoni's portrait on the title page and dedicated to Diana of Poitiers of this reduction of Ovid's Metamorphoses adorned with 187 woodcuts by Bernard Salomon and with the text within engraved frames of 32 different types, 6 of which with grotesque subjects. At the end are the 2 pamphlets: 'La Natura et effetti della luna' with the title in a frame and a large woodcut depicting the Royat Fountain in Auvergne and 'Apologia generale de M. Gabriello Symeoni' in this copy unfortunately missing 2 leaves
