A fine copy of this famous atlas in elegant period colouring, with geographical maps drawn mainly by Giovanni Pitteri and engraved by Giuliano Zuliani. The work, with the exception of the maps of the Duchy of Parma and Romagna, is complete, and we particularly note, in addition to the refined world map, the large map of the United States divided into 12 leaves and the 3 with the New Discoveries of the Russians, New Discoveries in the South Sea and New Zealand.

Double engraved title page to the first volume, each volume with its own engraved title page, dedicator's coat of arms to the preface, textual plates to the first volume, index of plates for each volume, 213 of (215 plates, missing Romagna and the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza) double-page plates in elegant contemporary colouring, good condition (occasional light foxing).
