First edition of this pastoral poem in four cantos, inspired by Virgil's Georgics, celebrating gardens, flowers, trees, fruit, water features and cultivation techniques. Page 133 contains a poem dedicated to hydrangeas, while the final part contains a prose debate between ancient and modern gardening styles, in which author Rapin defends the modern style.
