Italian edition of Mattioli's famous illustrated herbarium. In addition to commenting on Dioscorides, the author played a decisive role in identifying plants from different traditions, thus enriching the botanical knowledge of the time. The text was constantly updated during his lifetime and reprinted in numerous editions, both in Latin and Italian, thus contributing to its dissemination and importance in the scientific landscape of the time.
