Very scarce work, never auctioned (RBH) and with only one copy recorded in libraries (OPAC), recounting the bloody sack of Lipari in 1544, when Khayr al-Din Barbarossa sacked the island and enslaved over 9,000 inhabitants. Also in the lot is the first edition of the Rime del Cavalier Marino, published by Ciotti.

Venice: Ciotti, 1598. Engraved allegorical title page, large engraved initials and headpieces (ancient restoration to outer margin of leaf 18). Mid-19th century binding with leather spine, gilt title on label. (1)
