A fine copy of this rare Platonic-Christian treatise on beauty and love, in which the author explores themes such as the immortality of the soul, the relationship between body and mind, and the relationship between humans and animals. The work also discusses the arts, science, the different geographical areas of the world and the characteristics of the people who inhabit them, including the newly discovered lands which the author calls 'Pacifica terra ultra oceanum'
