First edition of the works of the Neapolitan jurist Sigismondo Lofreddo never auctioned (RBH). Lofreddo was a firm supporter of royal power, serving as a councillor at the Emperor's Court and holding various judicial positions under Ferdinand the Catholic. He was a leading figure in the political and judicial life of the Kingdom of Naples, contributing to the development of the Council system under Charles V. His influence extended until 1540, dominating Neapolitan viceregal institutions such as the Consiglio Collaterale
