Edition dedicated to the Grand Master of the Order of Saint Stephen, Cosimo II, and illustrated by the famous French artist and engraver Callot. The Order was founded by Cosimo I de' Medici in 1561 to combat the Moorish pirates operating on the Tyrrhenian coast.
