Copy belonged to the library of the famous bibliophile Gomez de la Cortina, whose collection of over 100,000 volumes was dispersed in seven sales in Paris in the 1770s, and to Prince Radziwill, who often entertained Proust (who had fallen in love with his son Léon) at the château of Ermenonville, from which this volume comes.
