A PAIR OF FINE DAYAZHAI TURQUOISE-GROUND GRISAILLE DECORATED BOWLS, CHINA, QING DYNASTY, GUANGXU PERIOD (1875-1908) (2)
The bowls with rounded sides decorated in the grisaille palette with a bird perched on a wisteria branch, amidst wisteria branches growing to the sides, the interior in the Famille Rose enamels revealing three branches with a peach, a Buddha's finger lemon and a peach (auspicious fruits), the blue ground rim with eight Buddhist emblems. The base with the iron-red Yongqing Changchun four-character mark. One bowl in good conditions, minor wears on the surface, the other with a 1,5 cm flake on the exterior of the rim and one of 1,3 cm under the base, minor surface crackles on turquoise enamel and minor firing imperfections.
