A VERY LARGE PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN BALUSTER VASES, CHINA, QING DYNASTY, GUANGXU PERIOD (1875-1908) (2)
Each of baluster shape, the shoulder slightly protruding lobed rising to an everted lobed rim neck. Two large rectangular panels depicting courtly scenes of dignitaries, servants on pavilion terrace, with two other smaller panels with similar scenes to the neck. Two pair of relief chilongs on the shoulder, the handles two confronted Buddhist lions and cubs. On the sides a ribboned hanging cash suspended from the mouth of a bat in flight on a various spray leaves and flowers in bloom ground, all between a lappet band at the bottom and ruyi heads band under the mouth rim. In very good conditions, very minor wears on the surface and minor firing imperfections, minor dirt traces.
