A RARE AND LARGE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN PHOENIX DISH, MING DYNASTY, JIAJING PERIOD (1522-1566)
decorated with a pair of confronting phoenixes amidst lotus and foliate in the central medallion, on the everted rim a band of the auspicious Buddhist symbols, the back side with double band decoration of pomegranate and prunus. In good conditions, minor wears on the surface and minor firing imperfections, a tiny old chip under the base foot.
