Costruita dall'ingegner Castelli del lago di Como, appassionato di barchette e sportive degli anni '40, è stata omologata con la carrozzeria aperta e porta il suo nome, come si evince dalla documentazione. La base da cui l'ingegnere è partito è la Citroen Ami 8 del 1970, che presentava caratteristiche ottimali per questa trasformazione: aveva infatti il telaio a pianale su cui veniva imbullonata la carrozzeria.
Il motore è un bicilindrico boxer raffreddato ad aria con testate in lega di alluminio, distribuzione a valvole in testa, cilindrata di 602 cm cubi e potenza massima di 35 CV SAE (o 32 CV DIN), il cambio è manuale a 4 marce, con frizione monodisco a secco.
Gli interni sono finemente lavorati e rivestiti in vera pelle ed arricchiti dalla presenza di vera radica di noce. Il cruscotto è dotato di strumentazione completa Veglia Borletti e di uno splendido volante Personal in legno. Monta cerchi Borrani a raggi. E' stata di recente ripristinata nella meccanica ed è perfettamente funzionante. Necessita solo del passaggio di proprietà per partire per una esperienza unica!
Built by engineer Castelli from Lake Como, a lover of small boats and sports cars from the 1940s, it was homologated with open bodywork and bears his name, as can be seen from the documentation. The basis from which the engineer started was the 1970 Citroen Ami 8, which had optimal characteristics for this transformation: it had a platform chassis onto which the bodywork was bolted.
The engine was an air-cooled boxer twin-cylinder with aluminium alloy heads, overhead valve timing system, 602 cm³ displacement and a maximum power output of 35 bhp SAE (or 32 bhp DIN), the gearbox was a 4-speed manual with a single dry plate clutch.
The interior is finely crafted and upholstered in real leather and enriched with real walnut root. The dashboard is equipped with Veglia Borletti full instrumentation and a splendid Personal steering wheel in wood. It is fitted with Borrani spoked wheels. It has recently been mechanically restored and is in perfect working order. It only needs the transfer of ownership to set off on a unique experience!
