Collection of three scarce Aristotelian works, not sold at auction in the last 20 years (RBH) including De Animalium generatione in the Greek original with the commentary by Ioannes Philoponus (490 ; 570 A.D.), the Latin translation in the version by Theodorus Gaza (1415 ; 1475) and a study on Averroes' commentaries by the Sicilian philosopher Giovanni Bono never sold at auction.3 works in one, Folio, (271 x 195mm). First work printed in Greek characters, a3 printed in red and black; second work with printer's device on title-page and colophon, text in Gothic letter in two columns, woodcut initials; third work with Habsburg arms to title-page (browned, waterstain to outer margin of leaves not affecting text, small wormtrack from leaves dd to ii in lower margin of first work with loss of small letter parts, some stains and sediment (soil?) affecting text). Contemporary vellum binding, title lettered to spine in manuscript, red edges (some wear). (1)
