Incomplete copy of this first edition concerning the military history of the region of Austria-Hungary between 1395 and 1602. The author describes the wars and towns that were the scene of battles, alongside double and single engraved plates with portraits of Austrian and Turkish rulers.3 parts in one volume, 4to, (188 x 144mm). 54 (of 56) engraved plates of which 29 are folding and 25 are portraits, several early annotations and underlining in green and brown ink (2 portraits, 2 title-pages, pp. 59-62 and 243-246 are missing and replaced by contemporary blank leaves, small loss to lower right corner of final folding plate, two portraits missing, final two leaves of index supplied in manuscript. Later full vellum binding with gilt title-piece to spine, marbled endpapers, red edges (some light wear). (1)
