Fundamental work for the study of the dynamics that affected the Mediterranean from the early modern age to the 19th century.10 vols, 4to, (278 x 200mm). 9 text volumes divided by periods, 1 final volume with 100 engraved full-page plates of which several folding, 1 photo-portrait of the author protected by tissue, uncut and partially unopened copy (some light wear). 20th century half-leather binding with title on spine, original wrappers preserved (some wear, traces of previous exlibris to endpapers).
