The author, a merchant by profession, was also a passionate man of letters and founded the Accademia letteraria dei Confusi in Antwerp in 1552.4to, (205 x 150 mm). Printer's device to title-page, engraved initials and headpieces (marginal stains). Contemporary limp vellum binding, inlays, traces of two ties and of title on spine (spine with light restoration).
