Per preservare e rafforzare l’industria automobilistica nazionale, il governo francese impose tasse di importazione altissime sulle auto di fabbricazione estera. Per ovviare a questo inconveniente, la Lancia decise di investire sulla costruzione di un nuovo stabilimento a Bonneuil-sur-Marne, a sud di Parigi. La produzione nello stabilimento parigino si incentrò sulla produzione di autotelai dell’Augusta e durò dal 1934 al 1937: nel mercato francese venne però chiamata “Belna”. Identificata con il suffisso F davanti al numero di serie, fu prodotta sia come berlina sia come telaio destinato ai carrozzieri.
In particolar modo fu il geniale carrozziere Marc Pourtout che si occupò della costruzione delle Belna cabriolet, di cui ad oggi si conoscono pochissimi esemplari. Mirabili furono anche quelle pochissime Belna allestite con la carrozzeria “Eclipse” ovvero un coupé-cabriolet con tetto rigido, futuristico all’epoca e fascinoso come oggi. Le cabriolet di Pourtout furono un esempio di stile sobrio tipicamente francese: i dati a oggi disponibili non sono chiari su quante Belna cabriolet siano state prodotte. To preserve and strengthen the domestic automobile industry, the French government imposed high import taxes on foreign-made cars. To remedy this, Lancia decided to invest in the construction of a new plant in Bonneuil-sur-Marne, south of Paris. Production at the Parisian plant focused on the production of Augusta chassis and lasted from 1934 to 1937: in the French market it was called the 'Belna'.
