In the 1950s, the Porsche 356 had been in production for too many years, so the car manufacturer decided to create a new model. The technical project was followed by Ferry Porsche, while the aesthetic project was followed by his son. He tried in every way to create a cabin that was suitable for four people. Soon, however, he gave up and turned to the classic 2+2. Immediately, the line of the car turned out to be elegant and balanced. The first version was presented in 1963 and is still in production, although it is fair to distinguish two very different categories. The first one was produced from 1963 to 1997 and has an air-cooled engine. The second one was produced from 1998 to the present day and has modern engines. Between 1968 and 1973, the Touring model became the best known in the 911 series. Thanks also to the extended wheelbase of 57mm that improved driving comfort and solved the problems of stability, present on the previous series. They enhanced the beauty of the car by chrome-plating the bumpers, the rear ventilation grille, the round rearview mirrors and the horn grille. The roof was foldable and the rear window in glass was fixed to ensure greater safety of the cabin.
This beautiful Porsche 911 2.2 T in its original colour Blood Orange (cod. 2323) and its black leatherette interior has been entirely restored in its body elements with a total repainting intervention from the bare stripped chassis, to its interiors also totally redone here, scrupulously following the original specifications of the materials used by the parent company. All the restoration carried out has been scrupulously documented with a book of restoration that is attached to the equipment of the car. This splendid 911 with its distinctive silver-coloured logo has now covered only 300 km since the day on which the restoration was completed.
